Hi, my name is Abri Fernandez and I am a Lifestyle Blogger and Freelance Writer.
First, I would just like to say thank you for stopping by :). I was born in Tucson, AZ and currently reside in the beautiful city of Chandler, AZ with my husband Eric and feisty ChiPoo named Mea.
I have always enjoyed organizing, cleaning, and making a house a home. It may sound crazy to say but organizing is one of my favorite pastimes. I can think better, feel accomplished, and it puts a smile on my face. That’s what hobbies are supposed to do right?!
Another reason I enjoy keeping a tidy home is because in my early twenties I started having health issues. This inspired me to change my lifestyle. From natural cleaning products, to safer skincare, and healthier eating habits, I am always looking to make changes that can improve my quality of life. I have been a Vegetarian for 6 months, and before that I was Vegan for 2 years. Although I have adopted a new way of eating it’s not always easy. Especially when you’re allergic to committing to healthy eating habits…yup that’s me. It’s a work in progress.
I believe another important aspect to overall health is spirituality and self-love, which are 2 things very near and dear to my heart. I could not have made changes or gotten to where I am today without God in my life. And Him teaching me how important it is for us to love ourselves. If there is one message that I could spread through my blog it would be that, and to know that you are not alone. Spiritual or not, there are so many things we can relate to one another on and experiences we can share. It took me a long time to realize that I was not alone and that I have a great support system around me.
It was my support system that encouraged me to seek happiness in life. So after working in the medical field for 6 years I decided it was time for a change and went back to school in my late-twenties. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management and recently started my Masters program in English. Through school I rediscovered my passion for writing. A few months after my graduation I started freelance writing. This is also when the process of creating Abri K Living began.
Abri K Living is a place where people can come to relate, laugh, gain ideas, and maybe learn something new. If organizing makes you feel like a shiny new penny, I am right there with ya. If you really do your best to eat healthy but love french fries and sometimes have desserts, then we are in this together! But most of all if you just want a place to take your mind off from the crazy day you had, or need a pick-me-up, that’s what I’m here for. To sharing life, love, and everything in between, see you in my next post!
